Web Design

All of my designs are bespoke and tailored to the individual customers requirements.

The normal process for the design of your website is for you to send me your texts and images for the website and perhaps any brochure or other advertising material you have. I will then work up a web design based on this material and place it on my testing server for you to approve. I can then make any adjustments that you want to the website prior to transferring it to your own web space/domain.

A basic website would typically be around 5-6 pages. This includes a Home page, an Enquiries page with a web based enquiry form avoiding the need to reveal your email address, a "Links" page (important for accommodating reciprocal links) and 2 or 3 additional pages to describe your business.

Typical cost for a basic website is around £250.

Additional Features

Of course you may require additional features for your website such as a picture gallery for if you have more images than fit sensibly into a normal textual page, or perhaps a news or blog style page where you can post your own entries.

I can provide any of these features and would be happy to quote for these additions individually as per your specific requirements.

Photography

If you are an accommodation provider I can photograph your property for £25

Travel Cost: Sensibly, this is only a service that I can provide in Orkney. In any case travel would be charged at cost, but there would be no charge for travel or waiting time.

eCommerce

I have designed a number of online store web sites (please see portfolio). With an online store you can have any number of product items and these can be added, edited and managed by yourself (I will provide a manual, and can provide on site training if required at an additional cost).

My own artwork store is an example of an eCommerce enabled shopping cart solution at www.westraydigitalart.co.uk  Please keep in mind that this is not a demo site, it is a live working store.

These can be set up to handle a variety of payment options, the most common being online payment processing through PayPal or offline processing through your existing merchant account. An eCommerce enable website with a shopping cart typically works out at around £500.

In the case of businesses using a merchant account and collecting credit/debit card information directly there is the additional cost of providing site security certification (needs renewing annually) and this is around £120 per year.

Hosting

If you do not already have your own domain or web space I can provide business class hosting for your website.

I offer hosting with one .co.uk domain name for £47 per year.

Additional domain names can be registered for your website and these will be charged at £14 for each additional name per year.
